The Taiji breathing pattern
With FriederAnders:AtemtypTaiji® each learner’s individual breathing pattern is taken into account for the first time
Master Frieder Anders is a pioneer in the field of diagnosis and teaching theory of the Taiji breathing pattern. The identification of your breathing pattern is of course free of charge.
What does the Taiji breathing pattern mean?
The way to one’s own power lies either in breathing in or in breathing out. A person who derives her power from the breath intake is an active breather-in (“breathing-in pattern”), one who derives her power from the expulsion of breath is an active breather-out (“breathing-out pattern”). The Taiji breathing pattern utilizes this knowledge: breathers-in stand straight upright, breathers-out stand slightly inclined in order to gain their power.
We can distinguish the upright from the inclined body posture with all Taiji styles. Both are authentic if they aid development of the inner JIN energy. JIN uproots the attacker. It was this ability that made Taiji famous in the 19th century.
We explain both – correct -postures within one style. We explain why the teacher in the Yang family tradition stands inclined but his pupil stands upright, both having JIN at their disposal.
The influences of sun and moon on human life are the subject both of speculation and of scientific research. The tides have been demonstrated to be affected by the moon and the sun. Their influence on human beings has however not been conclusively researched.
As far as the source of the power of the human body is concerned both scientific research and the practice of Taiji show that there are two types: the breather-in and the breather-out. The teaching of the Taiji breathing pattern utilizes this knowledge.
